Prince Harry and Meghan's son Archie has his very own book club, Oprah Winfrey confirms
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex' son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor has his very own book club courtesy of influential family friend Oprah Winfrey.
The royal couple released a video of Meghan reading a bedtime story to Archie earlier this week to mark his first birthday and raise money for charity.
Royal fans spotted a sticker on Archie's book 'Duck! Rabbit?' which read "Archie's Book Club", and Oprah has confirmed that it was a gift from her, via The Oprah Magazine. The sticker is modelled after Oprah's Book Club's signature badge.
The US TV star and philanthropist has run her celebrated book club for over two decades, inspiring other famous faces including Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Jessica Parker to start their own literary circles.
While speaking to Access Hollywood last year, Oprah revealed she sent Archie a collection of books as a "welcome to the world" gift when he was born.
"I don't know the baby's name or the baby’s gender, but this baby will have enough books to last a lifetime!" Oprah said, disclosing that books are her "standard gift" for people she "really cares about."
Oprah was a guest at Harry and Meghan's wedding in 2018, and has long championed the royal couple, supporting them "1,000%" when they announced they would be stepping back from their royal duties.
Meanwhile, in Meghan and Archie's heartwarming video - filmed by Prince Harry - Meghan can be seen reading Amy Krouse Rosenthal's book to Archie as he sits on her lap and helps her to turn the pages.
The video was shared on the Save The Children Instagram account this afternoon in support of the charity's Save With Stories initiative, aimed at helping children hardest hit by the Covid-19 crisis both here in the UK and around the world.
It was the first glimpse of the young royal that we've had since New Year's Eve, when the couple shared a sweet snap of Harry and Archie in matching hats during their trip to Canada.
